One of my favorite quotes as a lawyer and dancer is "always go to far, because that's where you will find the truth". Your blog was spot on, as I had a similar experience with the Reality show (whatever it was) that never materialized (go figure) but thankfully I enjoyed my performance notwithstanding the "catty" environment and then to borrow your words "got the fuck out of there"-the stage manager looked at me before I went on stage and said "you look so relaxed.. aren't you nervous?" I was like "no, I save my nerves for the juries that I talk in front of, nobody's life is on the line here". I mean really girls, this is supposed to be fun and recreational and entertaining and good exercise and well, yes, SEXY! Ok, now I'm pontificating but my comment boils down to this: well said Kitty!

Thank you for sharing your story, Kitty. I come from a very supportive a nurturing environment with regard to pole-dancing, so I am very disappointed by what you experienced there. I understand and share your passion 100%. I hope you know my "hot mess" comment was a compliment, and I love that you made a choice to dance to metal among all the hip-hop and top 40. I would love to see you dance when you are in your own element.

I have never thought of you being "lost"; I merely see you as a wonderful, kind, honest, and artistic spirit that gets joy from giving joy. I for one am glad that you are confident with you! You have really released a lot about yourself here and I admire you giving your all. (Laughter is really all we've got in our short little journeys and yes, we should do it often).
