Pole Dancing in Los Angeles

I have been dancing in just about every strip club in Los Angeles over the past 14 years. I've seen it change so much but it's really still the same game. My recent shifts at Jumbo's in Hollywood was by far the most fun. I love the rawness of the club. I'm a rock-n-roll kind of girl so dancing to The Stones or Led Zeppelin was a treat. I can really find my groove when the music is right. The girls there are hard core but super cool, stage was awesome and I can't wait to go back. Part time of course as I want to stay focused on my classes. I don't care for the totally nude clubs I enjoy a more relaxed environment with a little dirt. I think that for me, as an adult performer I continue to learn more about myself and I embrace the changes that come from those experiences. I see what I don't want and what is appealing then I move on. Not like the old days. I wasn't always the bubbly Kitty my students know of now. I'll get into that another time, lets just say I'm not bitter anymore. Ha! My true passion is sharing my skill with other women. I'd like to think my style of teaching is a bit different than what's out there in the new pole dance world but I hope everyone is adding their own spice. I am a bit annoyed by some schools and instructors that striped the strip club style and turned their nose up in disgust. I do see different views and you know, I just don't like some of them. So what! Big deal! Blah Blah Blah, right? Well that's why I started this blog, to help me help others make up their own mind about this pole dancing movement and maybe learn a little somethin. So for now it's New Years Eve and I'm going to pop open a bottle of wine, stay in and take a hot bath while I exhale 2009.
See ya next year!
